CELESTIAL EP
This was a pre-recorded video I sent out to all those who participated in a
listening party I held in May!
It contains a quick introduction about the album and the making of the tracks,
along with all 3 songs being featured with their appropriate artwork!

Celestial
Celestial was the first song written and represents the first part of quarantine for me.
When I was a child I felt most safe at night. Curled up in my bed with only my thoughts.. Reflecting and unwinding at the end of the day. That small space of mine became a safe haven and acted as escapism before any video games were available. The problems of my life and the trouble in my home life were far off celestial beings.. Deep in the night sky. I didn’t have to worry about that and they didn’t have to be a part of my world.
As life got busier.. I forgot about my safe haven, my mental vacations as a child. My nighttime ritual. The first part of lockdown was me rediscovering these parts of myself and reconnecting with them. Finding a safe place to reside in and existing fully in them. The heartbreak, hurt, and uncertainty can float away for the night and be observed as Celestial beings in the nighttime sky.

Megan is a director, illustrator, animator, overall kind-hearted incredible creator. She has worked on three different videos for me: Iron Heart, Celestial, and soon to be released “You’re Gonna Carry that Weight.”

This song title is a ‘Cowboy Bebop’ reference.
This song feels more representative of the middle of lockdown. The extra amount of quiet made my thoughts and day to day experiences much louder.
I could feel the heaviness of my past traumas and insecurities in every interaction, thought, and movement. I felt paralized and weighed down by my neurosis.
That line kept coming into my head.. And the meaning felt clearer and clearer.
The past catches up to you.. Your body and soul carries the weight of that if not addressed.
Trauma is a slow release.. I felt like everyday was a constant fight for air.
